Welcome to the Home Page for the Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 376

We welcome everyone who has an interest in aviation. Our chapter is one of the most active in the United States.  Activities include a monthly meeting, monthly luncheon, weekly flyout planning luncheon, and weekly flyouts to destinations throughout the western U.S.   We have over 130 memberships, consisting of both pilots and non-pilots, singles, couples and families.  Our pilots fly homebuilts, production aircraft, antiques, warbirds, and ultralights. You are invited to come to any of our events.  Hope to see you there!

With the creation of our Bill Smilie Aviation Center our Chapter is seeking to give back to our community in a way that we think is significant, unique and worthy.  We hope you will take some time to explore the tab to the left labeled "Bill Smilie Aviation Center", the tabs that begin with BSAC, and consider participating in any of the many ways available.

Each month our John Symons, aircraft expert extraordinaire gives us a mystery aircraft to identify.  Many of them are very unusual looking aircraft.  Anyone who calls John with the correct identification of the aircraft wins a free lunch at our next Second Saturday Barbeque.  Look in the June 2008 edition of our newsletter for the clues about this aircraft and you will find John's contact information there as well.  The July 2008 newsletter contains the answer to whatintheheckizzit for this aircraft along with the next aircraft and its clue.

Young Eagles (Kids Fly Free!)

Our next Young Eagles Rallies are on these dates:
2012: Feb 11, Mar 10, Apr 14, May 12, Jun 9, Oct 13, Nov 17 (due to Veterans Day weekend is the second weekend).

Most of our Young Eagles events are arranged with schools, churches, scouts and other structured organizations.  If you would like to schedule a Young Eagles flight for a group or for your own children contact our Young Eagles coordinator Bruce McJunkin at YoungEagles@eaa.cc or call him at (559) 824-5246.  The program is for youth from 8 to 17 years old.  Parents must sign a permission and release of liability form.  Our events are insured, the aircraft and pilots meet required safety and experience standards.

If you would like to come as "walk-ons" and not part of a group you are welcome and we usually have enough capacity but can not guarantee a flight.

Most Young Eagles events are followed by a Tri-Tip lunch at noon.  Anyone is welcome to join us for the lunch.  Lunch is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.

For more information about the Young Eagles program click here.

Your Feedback

We would really like to know how we are doing. Drop us a note via the contact button at the left, or info@eaa.cc.  We are very interested in hearing from you, especially from those of you who are not members of EAA Chapter 376.

If you come across something you think is interesting, and even loosely related to aviation, we would be interested in taking a look! Just let us know!
